- Be seated and have materials ready when the bell rings to start class.
- Begin with the warm-up activity as the bell rings.
- If you were absent the previous day, it is your responsibility to ask for any make-up work at the start of class. This includes setting up times for tests or quizzes you may have missed. (You will not get extensions on "pop" quizzes or on assignments given three or more days before your absence.)
- Listen to all directions the first time. Ask questions in a timely manner.
- Use the "ask three, then me" strategy, when appropriate.
- Turn in any homework and assignments as they are requested (both time and format). Homework is considered late any time after it is collected for your class.
- You must work on English work while in English class. If you complete an assignment before the rest of the class, see me about working on other material or course work.
- Complete work in blue or black ink or in typed form unless otherwise noted or specified.
- All make-up work must be submitted prior to the Friday of the week preceding the last week of each marking period.
- Check your grades often. You are responsible for checking Pinnacle and keeping track of your grades and returned assignments.
- You must receive a passing grade in the course in order to receive credit for course completion.
